The white wine of Corfu is produced from white grape varieties. The vines of Corfu are located mainly in the northern and western part of Corfu island, while there are also smaller vineyards in the southwestern part, in the "Korission" lagoon.
The kakotrygis is the favorite white variety of Corfu and is only grown in Corfu and not in any other place in Greece. Another Corfu variety of white grape is the white petrokoritho.
