A wine from Ano Korakiana Corfu and the Winery Nikolouzou.
Varietal Composition: Merlot 80% & Robola Noir 20%.
Harvest: First fortnight of September.
Winemaking: Pre-fermentation kryoekchylisi 7 days at a constant temperature of 10C and then vinification in temperature 25C for 25 days. Stay in new French oak barrels for 5 months by lees. Stay in the bottle for 3 months before release onto the market.
Alc: 13%.
Appearance: Vivid ruby color with violet hues.
Aromatic Potential: Handsome combination of red fruits like cherry, blackberry and plum, harmonized perfectly on a background of vanilla and spice notes.
Tasting notes: Rich flavor with a strong sense of red fruits that blend perfectly balanced presence in the barrel. A nice wine with rich features, complexity and soft tannins. Long and pleasant aftertaste.
Served at: 18C.
Combine Harmonics: With roasted meats, game, spicy red sauce and cheese.
Ageing: For 8 years after harvest.
